When you are called upon to give someone help, follow this simple procedure to ensure you have all the information you need.
1. When accepting a job write down the name and address of the person you are helping and the date of the job.
2. Check whether the person you are offering assistance to has any special needs, or if there is any particular information you should know about before you proceed with the job. The Time Bank staff will give you this information.
3. Be on time – 5 minutes early is even better.
4. Be sure you know the person’s name and be sure that he or she knows yours.
5. Show your identity card and if the person you are helping has any concerns wait outside the property whilst they telephone the Time Bank Office.
6. Find out if there are any possible hazards e.g unfriendly dogs etc.
7. When you have completed the job, fill out a time sheet and get it signed by the person you have done the job for.
8. Send or take your completed time sheet to the Time Bank office before the end of the month.
